New at From Home to Rome: Castro Pretorio 24
- February 17, 2025
- Termini area
Have you ever wished to stay in the same area of Rome where Fellini and Ava Gardner used to hang out? Where Liz Taylor came to club and Clint Eastwood roamed around in a Vespa? Well, now you can! With Via Veneto just around the corner, you can have your own version of La Dolce Vita in our new managed apartment, Toscana 1!
Obviously it’s not the 1960s anymore… however, in this area of Rome north of Trevi, by the ancient walls of the city and the Porta Pinciana gate, you can still find classy clubs, upscale restaurants and stylish travellers looking for a good time. Located in a quiet residential street in the heart of the Ludovisi district, one of central Rome’s business hubs, Toscana 1 is also a stone’s throw from many local embassies, including the U.S. one.
With a main bedroom and a comfortable sofa bed, Toscana 1 is perfect for a couple, a family with a young child or even two couples sharing expenses to travel. We at From Home to Rome find its location perfect for those looking to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the very city center while still walking distance from several landmarks (Piazza Barberini, the Barberini Gallery, the Spanish Steps, the Borghese Gallery, Trevi…). On top of that, if it’s not your first stay in Rome, you will love that it can be a base for further explorations to off the beaten path areas like the Trieste neighborhood or Flaminio.
The early 20th century building that houses this accommodation has a well-kept secret: its roof terrace gets to be enjoyed by all residents! This is a perfect spot for a breakfast outside or to just relax with a book or some music. Exact opening times are decided by all residents and communicated every time they are updated. But wait, there’s more! This space can be rented in the evening at a special rate for social gatherings, private parties and the like – if interested, get in touch with us through our Contacts page and we’ll relay your message to the owners!
As always, the full description for our new property at Toscana 1, including the rules to access the roof terrace, is found here!
